Now that he is officially back on the market, the Raptors have an intriguing package that they can offer for the Greek superstar.

The 2026 NBA offseason has begun for all but six teams still competing in the postseason. With the Draft Lottery being finalized, every franchise knows where they will be selecting in next month’s draft. That means the speculation begins now of which prospects will go to which teams, and whether teams will be looking to trade or not.

Perhaps the team that will be pursued for a trade the most will be the Milwaukee Bucks, as superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is ready to find a new home after 13 seasons with the franchise. It was made public that he was ready to move on before the trade deadline on Feb. 5th, but with the team unable to get a deal done, this offseason will decide whether he is extended or moved.

One team that has the assets and potential desire to trade for the 10-time All-Star is the Toronto Raptors. After ending a three-year playoff drought, general manager Bobby Webster may finally be ready to make a substantial move to put the franchise into championship contention.

While it isn’t public whether or not the Raptors are interested in the two-time MVP, it’s worth noting that they were not one of the teams listed that approached the Bucks about acquiring him at the deadline. Those teams included the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Minnesota Timberwolves.

Outside of trading away a certified All-Star, the Raptors may have the best package to offer the Bucks. This year, and postseason specifically, proved that standout rookie lottery pick Collin Murray-Boyles has tremendous upside, and he may be the best player to center trade talks around. The Raptors can then add in players like Immanuel Quickley and Jakob Poeltl to balance the finances, along with multiple first-round picks and other young prospects like Gradey Dick or even Ja’Kobe Walter if necessary.

At the end of the day, Antetokounmpo is already in conversations to be in the top five of his position in NBA history. At just 31 years old, he still has plenty of left in the tank, and slotting him next to two-time All-Star Scottie Barnes could prove to be one of the best defensive duos of all time. It may not be worth depleting the entire depth for one player, especially given his contract situation. He only has one year left on his deal, so the Raptors could be stuck in the same situation they were left in with Kawhi Leonard: there is only one year with him in Toronto, so they need to win.

It would be easy to assume that the asking price would be low, considering he has requested a trade and been adamant in his stance, but the caliber of player he is pretty much eliminates this notion. At the end of the day, it will be a bidding war between any team interested, and the Raptors should have the most to offer, outside of a team like the Celtics, which can offer another perennial All-Star like Jaylen Brown.
