The 20-year-old was a productive role player for the Raptors in 2025-26.
Nobody knows how Toronto Raptors forward Collin Murray Boyles's career will turn out, but he got off on the right foot this past season. The 6-foot-7, 245-pounder earned second-team All-Rookie honors on Wednesday, per ESPN's Shams Charania.
Murray-Boyles averaged 8.5 points on 57.9% shooting (34% 3-point) with five rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.9 blocks and 0.9 steals over 21.9 minutes, logging 22 starts out of 57 games played. The former South Carolina Gamecock also averaged 14.4 points on 65.6% shooting with 6.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.1 blocks across 27.3 minutes in Toronto's first-round playoff series against the Cleveland Cavaliers, which it lost in seven games.

Sokolowski-Imagn ImagesMurray-Boyles's production, especially in the playoffs, was significant for Toronto's future. Toronto didn't have any clear long-term contributors aside from star forward Scottie Barnes entering the season, but the South Carolina native showed that he can grow into one.
For example, shooting guard Brandon Ingram led the team with 21.5 points per game on 47.7% shooting (38.2% 3-point) over 33.8 minutes in the regular season, but he's now entering the last year of his contract before a $41.9 million player option for 2027-28. There's no guarantee that the 28-year-old will be on the team past that point.
Ditto for forward RJ Barrett, whose contract expires after next season. The 25-year-old co-led the Raptors with 24.1 points on 47.7% shooting (38.6% 3-point) and seven rebounds over 38.7 minutes in the playoffs.
Players like guard Immanuel Quickley and center Jakob Poeltl have more time left on their deals, but they're replaceable. Quickley averaged 16.4 points on 44.3% shooting (37.4% 3-point) with 5.9 assists over 31.9 minutes in the regular season, and Poeltl averaged 10.7 points on 70% shooting with seven rebounds over 25 minutes. Meanwhile, none of the team's bench players outplayed Murray-Boyles.
However, Barnes earned his second All-Star nod this past season and is signed through 2030. The 24-year-old also averaged 24.1 points on 50.9% shooting (38.1% 3-point) with 8.6 assists, 6.1 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 1.1 steals in the playoffs.
The fact that Murray-Boyles was already one of Toronto's biggest contributors in the postseason shows that he has the potential to reach Barnes's level in his prime. Given the uncertainty around the rest of the roster, that gives the fanbase something to look forward to other than Barnes.
The Raptors own the Nos. 19 and 50 picks in the 2026 NBA Draft, which starts on June 23.
