Brandon Ingram continues to improve.
The Toronto Raptors had a strong 2025-26 season, but they ultimately fell short of their championship goal in the first round of the postseason. Raptors star Brandon Ingram enjoyed a strong campaign, as he earned the second All-Star selection of his NBA career.
Ingram, who played his first season with Toronto in 2025-26, averaged 21.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists per outing. He also shot 47.7 percent from the field and 38.2 percent from beyond the arc.
It was a big season for him. He was limited to only five games played in the postseason and he averaged 12 points per outing during that span, but Ingram still made a significant impact during his first season in Toronto.
He is under contract with the Raptors through the 2026-27 season. He also has a player option for the 2027-28 campaign. The Raptors acquired Ingram for a reason, as they believe he can help the team for years to come.
Toronto is looking to build a legitimate championship roster. In order to reach their championship goal, they will need Ingram to be on top of his game. There is reason to believe that he can have another All-Star season in 2026-27.
Brandon Ingram's 2026-27 Outlook
Ingram could end up having a big 2026-27 season. It is obviously way too early to make any especially bold predictions, but the idea of Ingram earning his third All-Star game next year is realistic.
It should be noted that Ingram recently underwent surgery to address his heel pain. The good news is that Ingram is fully expected to recover and he will likely be ready for training camp.
Ingram has endured some ups and downs in his NBA career, but he has always displayed intriguing potential. Ingram's scoring stands out. He has averaged right around 20 points per outing for his career. His ability to impact other parts of the game makes him an especially valuable player, though.
Ingram's scoring was crucial in 2025-26, but he also averaged 5.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. He can find the open man and make an impact in the rebounding department. The Raptors are going to continue to feature him on a consistent basis as well, so he will be in a tremendous position to have a big 2026-27 season.
Anything can happen, but Brandon Ingram should have an opportunity to earn another All-Star selection in 2026-27.
