The Rockets welcome back their starting point guard as they face the Hawks for the second time in this early season.
On October 26th, the Houston Rockets (3-0) host the Atlanta Hawks (2-1) at the Toyota Center. The Rockets should be clear favorites, considering they just grabbed a win on Saturday, October 24th, in Atlanta.
Not only were the Rockets on the road, but they were without their starting point guard, Fred VanVleet, who will be reclaiming his role this evening. VanVleet will ignite the Rockets' offense, as he is having a superb start to the season. He as dished out 16 assists without committing a single turnover.
The bookmakers have the odds of the Rockets winning this at around 65%, with the spread set at -4.5, and the over/under is set at +/-229.5. The projected score is Houston to win 117-112

Houston Rockets Injury Report:
Fred VanVleet will be returning to his role as the starting point guard after sitting out the previous game. VanVleet will not play in back-to-back games for the beginning of this season since he is still recovering from a torn ACL.
Marcus Smart was questionable earlier in the day, but was downgraded to out due to a left forearm strain. Reed Sheppard should see some extended minutes due to his absence, and Bruce Thornton might get some minutes as well if the Rockets have a double-digit lead towards the end of the fourth quarter
Steven Adams is out again due to his lingering right soleus strain and his recovering ankle.
Atlanta Hawks Injury Report:
Mouhamed Gueye is still out due to suffering a left foot fracture
Henri Veesaar is also out as he is recovering from a torn right ACL
Jock Landale is available and will play with a facial mask as he is recovering from a nasal fracture.
Conclusion:
The Rockets might be on their way to a 4-0 start. They will try to use their physical prowess to dominate in the paint as they did on their first match up. The Hawks will rely on Jalen Johnson and their perimeter shooters, but Johnson will need more help from his teammates if they want to secure a victory.
VanVleet’s return means that Houston have their primary ball handler and playmaker back on the court, which should inspire confidence to the whole team that they can beat the Hawks in front of their home crowd in Houston.
