The Rockets will be facing a serious issue with their front court, as both starting and backup centers will be unavailable. On the other hand, the Bucks have no players missing and are fully healthy.

Houston Rockets Injury Report:

  • Alperen Sengun (C) — OUT (Low back soreness). He is missing his first game of the season.
  • Steven Adams (C) — OUT (Right soleus strain). He is expected to miss one to two weeks.
  • Marcus Smart (G) — QUESTIONABLE (Left forearm strain). He has missed the last two games.
  • Julian Phillips (F) — OUT (G-League)
  • Quadir Copeland (G/F) — OUT (G-League)

Milwaukee Injury Report:

  • No players listed on Injury Report.
  • The Bucks currently have a completely clean injury report, so they will have their full rotation available.

Injury Report Analysis:

After a superb performance against the Atlanta Hawks, Alperen Sengun will be unavailable to due a slightly surprising injury. He will miss his first game of the season. His absence will likely mean more minutes for both Kevin Durant and Jabari Smith Jr.

Because the back up center, Steven Adams, is also unavailable, both Durant and Smith will have to play some minutes under center. The Bucks will look to expose them being out of position and take advantage of it by dominating the paint.

Luckily for Ime Udoka, Houston have a solid third string center, Clint Capela. Udoka will have to rely on Capela to play a significant role, but his experience and physicality make him reliable

Houston will hope to have Marcus Smart return from his left forearm strain, as he is the primary ball handler on the second unit

Conclusion:

Despite the Rockets having key players out to injuries, Houston is expected to win and move to 5-0 on the season. Houston is currently favored to win this game by bookmakers, and the spread is set at -8.
