The Rockets' offense ignites with scorching three-point shooting, sparking a seven-game win streak and a dramatic season-ending surge.

After only scoring 92 points against the Lakers on March 16th, the Rockets’ offense has heated up and stayed. Despite losing to the same team the very next night, they did manage to put up 116 points. Just over their 114.8 season average, per NBA Stats

This started a trend that is still alive and well on their current 7-0 win streak to close the season out. Since St. Patrick’s Day, the Rockets are scoring 120.6 points per game. That ranks them just behind Charlotte for 7th highest through that stretch.

Much like at the beginning of Houston’s season, we can credit that to their hot three point shooting. 39.5-percent from deep is good enough to tie them for 5th best in that same time span, per NBA Stats

A team meeting reportedly contributed to these improvements, and I’ll believe it considering the Rockets not losing a game since that date.

These last seven games have been the most consecutive wins of the season for Ime Udoka and his team, getting hot at the perfect time.

From seemingly being destined to finish in sixth place after the loss in Minnesota, to being on the verge of regaining home court advantage —— these last two weeks have been a rollercoaster for the Rockets. Review that turnaround here on Roundtable
