A steady hand for eight seasons, Aaron Holiday nears 500 games, proving reliability wherever he lands. His consistent scoring and defense remain key.
The eight year veteran point guard has been as consistent as ever this NBA season. This is the fifth team he’s been on, and he’s now officially played his most career games with Houston.
After starting his career off with three full years in Indiana, his 182 games there was his longest tenure for the next five seasons. He averaged his career high 9.5 points in his sophomore outing for the Pacers.
As a backup guard (only starting in 67 out of his 493 games), he’s been extremely consistent in his role. Teams know exactly what they’re going to get.
His career averages are 6.4 points per game and 38.2-percent from deep in 16.1 minutes of play. This season he’s contributing 5.6 points a night on 37.9-percent from three, in 3.1 less minutes, per Basketball-Reference.
Right on par with his career averages, but his three seasons with the Rockets have all been consistent. While still only playing 14.1 minutes, he’s scoring an even 6.0 points on 38.9-percent from beyond the arc.
With 185 games played for Houston, he’s officially passed his 182 mark with the Pacers. Currently seven games away from reaching 500 total appearances, he’s proven to be a solid role player.
Perhaps this was a contributing factor in the front office’s decision to not add another guard, as previously mentioned on Roundtable.
