Despite only playing in three out of the four games against the Suns this season, Kevin Durant still made sure to handle his business. He did it in the way he knows best: by getting buckets.

Based on NBA Stats, KD is averaging a flat 26.0 points on just under 50-percent shooting from the field. Always consistent, as shown by his perfect shooting at the line on 13 attempts.

This last game played an interesting role in those final averages though.

With his first two revenge games coming in Houston, he strangely shot poorly from deep. I previously spoke on his 4/14 results from beyond the arc on Roundtable

His 5/9 night in Phoenix took him from 28.6 to 39.1-percent in one game. His 7.7 attempts per game against the Suns is also two higher than average, for whatever reason that might be.

I’m glad that it was more attempts, considering one of those threes was the game winner to put Houston up 100-97 with little time to spare. This was without a doubt their closest finish against the Suns this season, covered here on Roundtable.

I know that one specifically had to feel good, as well as the Rockets and Durant eventually sweeping, “that team from the desert.” 26-6-5 on his normal efficient shooting to show Phoenix what they’re missing out on
