Tari Eason's shooting plummets drastically, missing triples for weeks. Can he rebound from this brutal March slump?

Through his first 12 games of March, Rockets’ wing Tari Eason has had his fair share of struggles. Heck, he’s probably struggled enough for two or three players.

He’s shooting a horrid 31.1-percent from field, and an almost unbelievably low 8.3-percent from deep. This isn’t a small sample size either, as he’s still logging 24.9 minutes per game, per StatMuse

Despite still getting his minutes, Reed Sheppard has been starting in Eason’s place for more and more games. Tari’s three point attempts have gone down to three per game, possibly showing lack of confidence.

That’d be understandable considering the drastic fall off.

Just in February, he was still shooting above average (12/31 for 38.7-percent) before the All-Star Weekend. Immediately after that, it slowly started to drop.

He shot 6/20 in his six games played to close out the month. 30-percent isn’t awful for a short slump, but that was just the beginning.

Now more than three weeks into March, he’s only made one triple per week in 35 attempts. He went a full two week stretch (March 6th to March 20th) without knocking one down.

Thankfully his hot start to the year, previously covered on Roundtable, is still keeping him afloat. He’ll definitely need to pick it up if he wants to stay above league average in a contract year.
