Spurs vs. Celtics: Betting Lines, Injuries, and How to Watch cover image

The San Antonio Spurs will look to play up to their competition on Saturday night as they travel East to take on the Boston Celtics. Before tipoff, we have you covered with everything you need to know.

After beating the Los Angeles Lakers, the San Antonio Spurs will travel East on Saturday to take on the Boston Celtics on the road. Despite being without Jayson Tatum, who tore his Achilles tendon in the playoffs, the Celtics have remained elite.

Their sustained excellence is even more surprising given that they lost Kristaps Porzingis, Al Horford, Jrue Holiday, and Luke Kornet in the offseason. However, Jaylen Brown is playing like an MVP candidate, Derrick White has continued to step up, and Payton Pritchard has made the move to the starting lineup flawlessly.

Before the season started, this was expected to be an easy win for the Spurs. As Boston keeps rolling, however, it should be a challenge.

Before tipoff, we have you covered with everything you need to know, from betting odds, TV info, and injury reports for both squads.

The Spurs, as Victor Wembanyama put it, play up or down to their competition. It's why they beat teams like the Lakers and OKC Thunder, but have lost to the Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers recently.

With Boston remaining one of the better teams in the league, the Spurs should step up. Missing (possibly) both Vassell and Champagnie should hurt their wing depth, so Keldon Johnson might have to step up, especially defending Brown.

Of course, Jeremy Sochan has recently gotten some added run, and he remains one of the better defenders on the team. The Spurs have answers to the problems the Celtics pose. It's just a matter of firing on all cylinders.
