Spurs vs. Rockets: Betting Lines, Injuries, and How to Watch cover image

The San Antonio Spurs will take on the Houston Rockets for the second time this season. As the Spurs hope to remain undefeated against their in-state rival, we have you covered with everything you need to know before tipoff.

The San Antonio Spurs are yet to drop a game to a team from Texas this season, winning their first two showdowns against the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks. On Tuesday, without any rest for either team, the Spurs and Rockets will be back in action.

The Spurs are coming off an undefeated home stand and have all the momentum in the world, although they have struggled against some of the more physical teams in the league as of late. With Jabari Smith Jr., Alperen Sengun, and Amen Thompson, the Rockets certainly fit the bill.

Jeremy Sochan has spent much of the season on the bench, although he relishes being able to instigate against the Rockets. Maybe Mitch Johnson will give him some run in a heated rivalry game.

Before tipoff, we have you covered with everything you need to know, from betting odds, TV info, and injury reports for both squads.

The Rockets are three and a half games behind the Spurs in the Western Conference standings. After Victor Wembanyama seemed visibly thrilled by the Rockets losing the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery, he and the city of Houston seem to have a rivalry. Both he and Alperen Sengun have no problem getting a little chippy as they go head-to-head, making for a thrilling game every time they share the court.

After the Rockets beat the Spurs in the race back to the playoffs last season, the Spurs are still playing some catch-up despite being the better team this season. As the Dallas Mavericks continue a rebuild of their own, the Rockets have emerged as the Spurs' main in-state rival.
