The San Antonio Spurs are down 1-0 in the NBA Finals after dropping Game 1 to the New York Knicks on Wednesday. The Spurs will have one more chance to win in front of their home crowd on Friday night before the series shifts to New York.

In the opener, the Spurs--namely De'Aaron Fox and Victor Wembanyama--did not look like their usual All-Star selves. Of course, when the two stars take a step back, usually the Spurs can rely on the backups to show out, although the team as a whole shot only 25 percent from deep, ruining any chance they had of holding onto their second-half lead.

In that first game, Jalen Brunson twice went down with leg injuries, although it didn't stop him from leading the way with 30 points. Brunson did not head to the locker room or miss extended time, and the Spurs will face off against a fully healthy Knicks' team in Game 2.

The Spurs entered the series as favorites, but after dropping Game 1, face an unfavorable odds shift. However, for Game 2, they are even bigger favorites than they were in Game 1, so all of the betting signs point to this being a long series.

Mitchell Robinson was listed as questionable in Game 1, but played anyway, although it was Karl-Anthony Towns who slowed down Wembanyama. Expect Robinson to be in the lineup tonight, and if Towns' defense slips, he should check in to be a physical presence.

The Knicks enjoyed a stinker in Game 1 from the Spurs' best two players, and fans are hoping that San Antonio can turn the ship around, lest they fall to a massive 0-2 deficit.
