"CARTER [expletive] BRYANT!!!!!!" posted Julian Champagnie after the San Antonio Spurs' 116-112 comeback win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
In 20 minutes, Bryant finished with five points, three rebounds, two steals, a block, and an assist. He made every shot he took and finished with a team-high plus/minus of +11.
If it weren't for his stellar play down the stretch, the Spurs would have lost. It's as simple as that. The 14th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft has spent much of the season limited to garbage time, but when his number is called, he is quickly becoming one of the more reliable players on the roster.
The Spurs' young core has gotten its flowers. Victor Wembanyama, Stephon Castle, and Dylan Harper have all received their fair share of headlines, and even slightly older players like Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell have their jerseys fly off the shelves.
Bryant, it seems, is the odd man out, but is playing well enough to change that.
"Carter, in 20 minutes, he had the loudest five points, three rebounds I've seen in my life," said Wembanyama. "I'm super proud of him."
Fans seemed to agree, going as far as to call him the second-best player in the 2025 draft class, although there might be some hometown bias going on.

Before he took to social media, Champagnie offered a slightly more put-together analysis of the rookie's play.
"I think CB came in there and he really, really showed his impact and showed what he's really, really good at," said the sharpshooter. "I think just confidence-wise, he's just kind of getting comfortable. He's slowing down. He's figuring it out. He's pushing the ball. He's taking his shots."
While Bryant hasn't picked up as much experience as he would like, it seems that he is making the most of any chance he gets to grow and expand his skillset.
"That's not a rookie no more," Champagnie added. "He guards the best players. He defeats a defensive menace. So I think that, you know, I give him a lot of credit tonight. I don't think we'd win this game without him doing all that good stuff. So shout out to CB for real."
The Spurs are hoping Bryant can develop into a long-term defensive anchor, giving the Spurs a three-headed monster with him, Castle, and Wembanyama.
