San Antonio extended its win-streak to 10 games after Victor Wembanyama went for over 40 points again in a 127-113 victory over Golden State.

San Antonio squared off with Golden State in a late-night bout on Wednesday. The Spurs kept on rolling with a 127-113 victory over the Warriors inside Chase Center.

Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama was the focal point yet again for San Antonio. Fresh off a season high 41-point effort against the Bulls, he matched the total again in San Francisco. He finished the night going 16-of-22 from the field and grabbed 18 rebounds for another double-double performance.

Wemby had previously surpassed Manu Ginobili with his last 40-point effort against Chicago, as the third-year phenom tallied seven in his career. With back-to-back spectacular outings, he inches closer to Mike Mitchell for third-most 40-point games in San Antonio history by moving his total to eight.

Outside of Wembanyama, several Spurs had impressive nights out west. Starters Stephon Castle and Julian Champagnie posted identical 15-point performances to finish tied for the team's second-leading scorers.

San Antonio also got valuable contributions from its bench, with Harrison Barnes and Dylan Harper going for 13 points each in relief. In total, seven Spurs broke into double figures and their lowest scorer, DeAaron Fox, recorded eight points.

For Golden State, they got solid performances throughout their lineup, with Nate Williams leading the way after dropping 18 points. The Warriors also had eight double-digit scorer but couldn't compete with the showcase from Wembanyama.

With the win, San Antonio has now 25 of its last 27 games, which is the best winning percentage of any NBA team since February 1. The Spurs have also won 10 straight games and have continued to improve down the stretch.

Only six regular season games remain for San Antonio before their return trip to the postseason. While the Spurs know that their spot is secure, their exact seeding in the Western Conference is still up for change. Currently at 58-18, they can finish no worse than second in the standings but sit only two games behind Oklahoma City.

In a season where the Spurs where expected to be a play-in at best, Wembanyama and company have San Antonio positioned to potentially finish atop the NBA's Western Conference.

There's still many games down the road, but if San Antonio, and by extension Wembanyama, keep playing at this extremely high level, it will be very hard for any playoff foe to oust them in a seven-game series.
