Jordan Brand unveiled the Air Jordan 41 in Shanghai on Thursday. San Antonio Spurs guard Stephon Castle was on stage for it. Castle and Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero wore the shoe at the launch event, per Andscape.
SLAM Philippines posted footage on Facebook of Castle working with players who are preparing for The One Global Finals. The slamonlineph Instagram account carried images from the unveiling.
More than 20 qualifier cities across North America, Europe, and Asia took part in Saturday's Shanghai bracket. Open to players aged 14-18, every champion earns the opportunity to become a Jordan Brand ambassador.
Two Filipino players compete, with Andwele Cabañero winning the Manila leg on Aug. 1 at Kerry Sports Manila in Taguig by defeating Sean Bohol 13-9 in the boys' final. Despite a shoulder injury, Cabañero played well. At Letran, he averaged 3.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.1 assists before going back to the University of Santo Tomas. KJ Badajos of National University-Nazareth School won the girls' championship.

The Air Jordan 41 gets a limited China release Friday, with a global release to follow. Ruby is the launch colorway, built on a nano print mesh upper with a full-length Zoom Strobel, a ZoomX midsole, an Air Zoom unit in the heel, a carbon fiber and TPU shank, and a herringbone rubber outsole. Nice Kicks and House of Heat listed the price at $205.
"The 41 matches the way I like to compete," Castle said in the Jordan Brand release. "It's built for players who impact the game on both ends. I trust it every possession because it keeps me feeling quick, connected and ready to react. When you're playing with confidence, you can focus on being aggressive and letting your game take over."
Jordan Brand signed Castle in October 2024, alongside Knecht, McCain, and Walter. He was named Rookie of the Year in April, averaging 14.7 points over 81 games. In the previous season, Castle posted averages of 16.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 7.4 assists in 68 games, starting almost every game. His assists led San Antonio and ranked eighth in the league.
Through the playoff run he started all 23 games. His 141 assists led the 2026 postseason. San Antonio needed seven games to get past Oklahoma City in the Western Conference finals. The New York Knicks took the NBA Finals in five. Castle scored 23 points in the Game 3 win at Madison Square Garden. He finished Game 5 with six points on 1-of-10 shooting in the 94-90 loss.
Castle is set to earn over $10 million in 2026-27, part of a four-year, $41.4 million rookie deal, reaching restricted free agency in 2028.
