The San Antonio Spurs have won five games in a row and will hit the road on Monday to take on the Miami Heat.

The San Antonio Spurs are winners of five games in a row, and have closed the gap on the first-place Oklahoma City Thunder to three games in the Western Conference. The Spurs have an easier schedule to finish out their season, so it's not totally out of the realm os possibility that they will finish atop the West.

However, on Monday, San Antonio will travel East to take on the Miami Heat. Miami is still riding the high of Bam Adebayo's 83-point game, although they have lost their last four and are poised to play in the play-in tournament, with a matchup against the top-seeded Detroit Pistons on the line.

Despite Miami's recent skid, they are still a dangerous team, and the Spurs only beat them by six points in an autumn matchup much earlier in the season.

Miami's Jamie Jaquez Jr. is the current frontrunner for Sixth Man of the Year, although the Spurs are still campaigning for Keldon Johnson to take home the honors.

While Sixth Man doesn't really require the same "signature moments" as MVP, Rookie of the Year, or Clutch Player of the Year, a dominant showing from Johnson to go with a Spurs' win should help cement his case. While Jaquez Jr. is having a solid season, Johnson is playing a key role on a team with title hopes, and that has to count for something.

After this road game, the Spurs will travel to Memphis and Milwaukee to take on two underperforming, injury-riddled teams, kicking off the final stretch of the regular season.
