The San Antonio Spurs stole Game 1 of their Western Conference showdown against the Oklahoma City Thunder, winning in double overtime on the back of a stellar 41-point, 24-rebound game from Victor Wembanyama.
The Spurs successfully neutralized both Chet Holmgren and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but were lit up by Alex Caruso, who was easily the second-best player on the floor in the game.
In Game 1, the Spurs were underdogs for the first time in the playoffs, although with the win, the odds to win the West shifted slightly in their favor. There's one game left in Oklahoma City before the series shifts to San Antonio.
