The Spurs are riding a hot streak, and are seeking redemption against injury-plagued Warriors. Can the team finally conquer Golden State without their stars?

The San Antonio Spurs are coming off an absolutely massive 136-108 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in their last game, and they will be looking to use that momentum to get their sixth straight win.

And they also have the chance to do something in their next game that they have not done all season.

San Antonio will be up against the Golden State Warriors tonight at 9:00 p.m. CST, and they are a team that the Spurs have not been able to beat so far this year.

They faced off twice earlier in the season in back-to-back games, and the Warriors won both in close fashion.

The first game went to Golden State with a score of 125-120 as a result of 46 points from Stephen Curry and 28 from Jimmy Butler. But they had to get past Victor Wembanyama for the win, who finished with a 31-point triple-double.

Then, a couple of days later, Curry once again had a huge game with 49 to lead the Warriors to a one-point win despite another solid game from Wemby.

But now, something has changed that means the Spurs have a much better chance of winning this time around.

Steph is currently out with a knee injury and will miss the All-Star break as well, which means Golden State will be without its best player against a Spurs team that is at their most dangerous right now.

Not to mention that Butler also suffered a season-ending ACL tear last month against the Miami Heat. In addition, Golden State's new trade deadline acquisition, Kristaps Porzingis, will not make his season debut until after All-Star Weekend due to an Achilles injury.

And none of these injuries are even taking into account how each of these teams are doing right now.

The Warriors have lost three of their last five games, with one of those losses being to the Lakers, who the Spurs just took care of easily.

San Antonio has won their last five games, so they will be hoping that they can keep that streak going and get the best of the Warriors for the first time in the 2025-26 season.
