Phoenix Rally in the Garden! cover image

Great game between two teams fighting to stay in playoff contention.

It was a gritty, hard fought battle at Madison Square Garden and the Phoenix Suns showed up on the road ready to play. The Suns had a spark coming from the return of star Devin Booker, hoping the sprained ankle was 100-percent.

Both teams traded punches from the very start of the game, the first quarter was tightly contested.

The Knicks had a ton of energy coming from the home crowd and used it to outpace Phoenix.

From the free throwline to the perimeter, the Suns we able to take control and get back momentum.

The return of Devin Booker was not a sure thing; he was listed as questionable at pregame due to his ankle injury. Booker's performance definitely impacted the game; he led the Suns with 27 points.

Devin Booker's presence on the court brought energy and confidence back to the Phoenix offense.

Booker was very efficient from the free throw line, shooting 12 of 14 from the line.

While Devin Booker did set the tone, the supporting cast stepped up and contributed in key moments as well.

Grayson Allen scored 16 points while big man Mark Williams was strong in the paint with 14 points.

Late in the fourth quarter Collin Gillespie delivered a clutch three that swung momentum to Phoenix.

The New York Knicks fought hard the whole game but plays like Gillespie three pointer would just suck the energy right out of them.

Brunson and Hart were both out for the Knicks with ankle injuries and their absence was definitely noticed.

The Knicks were 1 of 10 on three-point attempts in the fourth quarter. That kind of low percentage shooting was not going to win a game against an efficient Phoenix Suns roster.

The Suns held in there and were able to end the road skid by winning in the Garden 106-99 behind Booker's return.
