Kevin Durant hit a dagger to put the game away in the last second, giving Rockets 100-97 win over the Suns.

Phoenix came into Houston over .500 and trying to stay competitive in a tough Western Conference. The Houston Rockets and Kevin Durant turned it on in the fourth quarter. Durant pulling up for a clutch three pointer in the last second, giving the Rockets a 100-97 thrilling victory over the Phoenix Suns.

The Suns started off on the right foot controlling most of the game. Even as the Rockets would go on runs and keep the game close, Phoenix was not giving up the lead. 

Devin Booker finished the night with 27 points for the Phoenix. The Suns veteran point guard controlled a very well-disciplined offense throughout the game. 

Although Phoenix kept threatening to pull away, Amen Thompson and Jabari Smith would shut it down with hustle plays on the court, allowing Houston to stay within striking distance. 

Houston went on a run in the fourth quarter the Suns could not slow down, controlling a modest lead for most of the quarter. 

Phoenix never gave up and just kept chipping away, the Suns went on a 10-0 run very late in the quarter. Role players and the depth for Phoenix stepped up in the end, with two minutes remaining in the game the Suns held a 97-94 lead. 

The defining moment in the game came with only seconds remaining and the ball was in Kevin Durant's hands. The score was tied and the clock winding down, a Hollywood script some would say, as Durant buried a 27-footer from beyond the arc with hands in his face. 

Houston's home crowd erupted as the Rockets defeated the rivaled Phoenix Suns 100-97.
