Phoenix Suns Fall to Clippers Without Offensive Leaders on the Court cover image

Devin Booker and Jalen Green out yet again, ending Suns three game winning streak.

The Phoenix Suns had just seemed to be "catching fire" and figuring it all out after big wins against top playoff contenders. When all of a sudden, the Clippers come into town and destroy the very momentum the Suns had going.

Phoenix was yet again going into this game without Devin Booker, still recovering from a right ankle sprain, and Jalen Green having to rest the recovering hamstring injury.

All-Star hopeful Dillon Brooks was put in the position yet again to command the offense.

Sadly, Phoenix was unable to find the basket in this game, shooting a season-low 30-percent from the field.

The Suns also attempted 46 three-pointers in this game, making 19 of those three's.

The big piece Phoenix is missing when Booker is out is the consistency of always being able to produce when on the court, whether it is on the scoreboard or dishing out the ball.

Without Booker the Suns are not able to stay consistent, or hot from the field. Some games they can and some they cannot.

In this case going up against a Clippers team that is led by many veteran all-stars, consistency is what they live by. Have an off night and they will make you pay.

That is what happened in this game, the Clippers allowed the Suns to shoot the ball from beyond the arc and in return dominated the key, owning the rebounds all game on both sides of the court.

With the Suns missing shots and the Clippers getting all the rebounds, it made life in the paint easy against Phoenix.

The first half was rather close and competitive in general; the Clippers did go into the half with a four-point lead.

By the fourth quarter Phoenix would find themselves in a hole they were not getting out of, falling behind by 20 plus points.

Phoenix would lose this embarrassing showing at home 117-93.
