Pregame Injury Report and Goals Coming Back Home cover image

Can Phoenix get back on track at home?

The Phoenix Suns are 19-14 and returning home from the five-game road trip to face the 8-26 Sacramento Kings. It should be a game that gets Phoenix back on track but injuries and a starting roster that changes every night, has made things difficult for the Suns.

Phoenix is hoping to lean on their size in the paint, those mismatches in the paint should help the Suns control the game. Dominating the glass with young center Mark Williams and making defensive stops are the goals for Phoenix.

We should expect the Suns to take advantage of their deeper roster and transition play to be too much for the Kings to slow down.

Injuries for the Suns tonight:

  • Jalen Green - out with a right hamstring still and will not play.
  • Grayson Allen - still dealing with a right knee injury and is definitely not playing tonight.

These are two major scoring threats that Phoenix will be missing. With the return of Jordan Goodwin, look for him to back up big man Mark Williams on the boards against Sacramento.

The Sacramento Kings are missing a couple key players as well.

  • Zach Lavine - a key playmaker for the Kings and is still ruled out with an ankle injury.
  • Domantas Sabonis - another starter for the Kings who is also ruled out with a knee injury.
  • Drew Eubanks - an already not so deep bench will be missing against the Suns, out with a thumb injury.

Between the Phoenix Suns depth and the Sacramento Kings lacking in that category, we should project the Suns getting back on track at home. It will not be an easy victory but one that should be dominated in the paint and a chance for Phoenix star players to shine.
