After an upset loss on the road in Atlanta the Suns hoped to come home and get back on track. Miami had different plans as they knew the banged-up roster of the Suns would give them a chance to take full advantage and pull off a road win.
Miami had to deal with a flight delay that had them showing up in Phoenix at 4:30 am local time. Despite the fatigue and condensed travel schedule, the Heat showed up and played very disciplined basketball.
The Suns were missing both of their top offensive weapons, Devin Booker and Jalen Green, due to injuries sustained earlier in the week in Atlanta. Miami took full advantage.
Dillon Brooks had 26 points in this matchup and Grayson Allen did his part with 18 points.
Phoenix shot a low 37-percent from the field and sadly a rare 20-percent from three-point land, going 7 of 35 from deep.
The Suns had 24 fouls on the night and just could not pull off any rebounds on both sides of the court.
The Heat would dominate the entirety of the game which puts an end to the longest road trip of the season going 3-2 on the road.
Phoenix was not able to answer back and would end up taking their second loss in a row.
A 111-102 loss at home just shows the Suns are needing the offensive firepower of Booker and Green back as soon as possible.
The supporting cast was there, but without the veteran leadership of Booker on the court the Suns offense never found a rhythm.
