

The Phoenix Suns momentum was slowed down on New Years Eve in Cleveland, losing 129-113 to the Cavaliers. The Suns kept it close but in the fourth quarter Cleveland's stars stepped up and broke away from Phoenix.
Phoenix four-game win streak was snapped, and the Cav's were able to close out the year on a high note at home.
Cleveland came out at the beginning of the game starting hot with a 19-2 run, getting the crowd behind them early. The Cavaliers created an uphill battle that Phoenix would never be able to come back from.
Donavon Mitchell was there when Cleveland needed it the most, every time the Suns would make a run to come back and make it close, there was Mitchell to assure the lead was in tack.
Mitchell almost had a triple-double with his 34 points, 10 assists and seven assists.
Phoenix has shown they are resilient throughout the season. Devin Booker was quiet in the first half, scoring only six points. Booker came alive in the third quarter with 19 points and was able to get within striking distance, the Suns ended the third quarter only down by five 84-79.
The Suns were able to get behind the momentum built by Phoenix's Goodwin who was a rebounding and second chance scoring machine in the beginning of the fourth quarter. Phoenix was within striking distance at 91-89, down by only two points but that would be the closest the Suns would get.
Cleveland responded by going on a 34-12 run in the fourth quarter and finishing what they started.
Phoenix ends their road trip with a 3-1 record. Not bad considering all the adversity the Suns roster is facing.
The Suns hope to regroup at home and hoping a healthier lineup is in the future for the team's roster.
