Peat Must Focus on Developing Jumper

One major resounding theme in Peat's player evaluation is that he must develop some form of a jump shot - whether of the mid-range or three-point variety.

The Arizona native has shown moments of possessing quality mid-range touch, however this has yet to become a regular piece of his repertoire.

Whether it's repetition, tweaking his shooting form, or gaining confidence, there are avenues to Peat becoming a viable shooter as the season goes on, but it will take a great deal of work for this to translate to an NBA court.

It's not reasonable to expect Peat to be a starting player right away, but is there a chance he usurps fellow wings in Ryan Dunn and Rasheer Fleming in the rotation?

This remains to be seen, but Peat carries advantages including raw strength and exceptional chops as a play finisher gift him an edge over his peers. There's also a definitive chance that Peat will be a plus defender as a rookie as well, which only aids his case to advance in Ott's rotation.

Peat's preseason debut is right around the corner, as the Suns take on the Detroit Pistons on October 5.
