The Phoenix Suns benefited in a major way when a star returned and took on the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Phoenix Suns came out wanting a little payback after being stepped on by the Los Angeles Clippers in L.A the first time these two met this season. Things were a little different this time around for the Suns, this time they had newly acquired in the Kevin Durant trade, Jalen Green.

Green made his debut on Saturday night and showed right away he was here to play competitively. Jalen Green put up 29 points in just 23 minutes of play. Most of which were very clutch shots throughout the game.

Jalen Green set a Suns debut record with six three-pointers. Green had missed the first eight games due to a right hamstring strain, having him in the lineup was exactly what the front office was hoping for.

Although this time around the Suns did not face Kawhi Leanord, out with an ankle, as well as James Harden who was out for personal reasons. Phoenix still showed much improvement in most areas of play Coach Ott has been focused on.

First half of this game was fairly close, going back and forth with multiple lead changes. Coming out of the halftime, Phoenix exploded and could not be stopped. Outscoring the clippers 40-22 in the third quarter.

Phoenix went on a 33-11 run at one point in the third quarter as well. Some would say the Suns looked revitalized, field goal percentage was up from most games and depth off the bench stepped up as well.

As the season is playing out and this newly rebuilt team is having more time playing together, you can see Coach Ott's vision coming together.

There is still a question of whether or not the Suns can compete against the All-Star teams of the Western Conference. The team's Phoenix has beat, have injuries or just not top teams in the West.
