Blue unveils its 2025-26 roster, featuring promising two-way talent and former first-round pick Dariq Whitehead aiming to reignite his NBA career.

The Oklahoma City Thunder, as an organization, is one of the best at using its G League system. The Oklahoma City Blue has seen many good players play at that level before contributing to the Thunder in the NBA.

Oklahoma City also likes bouncing players between both teams throughout the season to maximize reps, both in a game and a practice setting.

Ahead of the upcoming G League season, the Blue has officially announced its 2025-26 roster.

This roster includes the two-way players — Branden Carlson, Brooks Barnhizer and Chris Youngblood — along with many other interesting names.

Among the most interesting is Dariq Whitehead, a former first-round pick from Duke who couldn’t find his footing with the Brooklyn Nets and will now look to get his NBA career on track in OKC’s system.

Viktor Lahkin and Payton Sandfort are also fascinating players, who were injured this summer but still signed by Oklahoma City as longer term bets. They were both players worthy of being drafted in the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft had they been healthy.

Malevy Leons is another player to keep an eye on, given he was in the running for a two-way contract and played a significant role in the Thunder’s preseason slate.

The OKC Blue season is nearly upon us. This is one of the most exciting rosters the team has had in recent years, making this a season that fans should be following closely. There’s legitimate NBA talent on this G League squad.
