The Minnesota Timberwolves play the Oklahoma City Thunder Wednesday night at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.

The surging Oklahoma City Thunder host the Minnesota Timberwolves Wednesday night in a NBA Cup matchup, and the Timberwolves will be working with a full roster at their disposal while the Thunder are facing an uphill battle.

The Timberwolves are 10-7 on the season but are coming off of a two-game losing streak. Facing the best team in the league doesn't appear to be a great way to break said streak on paper, but the efforts of stars like Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle still make Minnesota formidable.

The Thunder have appeared seemingly unstoppable this season, with the efforts of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander helping the team along. But, Gilgeous-Alexander's status for Wednesday's game is currently in question, and the loss of Oklahoma City's best player could level the playing field substantially.

    Timberwolves Injury Report

The Timberwolves just have one injury listed, though that won't affect the amount of men they have on the court.

Enrique Freeman (face mask) is AVAILABLE for Wednesday's game. Freeman has been yet to play in a game this season for the Timberwolves, however.

Rocco Zikarksy (two-way) is OUT for Wednesday's game as he is signed to a two-way contract with Minnesota and has been playing with the Iowa Wolves, Minnesota's G-League affiliate.

    Thunder Injury Report

Compared to the Timberwolves, the Thunder have a laundry list of injuries to contend with. Oklahoma City has been playing shorthanded for the majority of the year, though that hasn't stopped them from dominating the NBA. Come Wednesday, though the Thunder are dealing with some new additions to the injury report that could make things difficult.

Thomas Sorber (knee) is OUT as he continues to recover from a surgery to repair his right ACL that that he tore during the offseason.

Aaron Wiggins (Adductor) is OUT while he recovers from a left adductor strain. Wiggins hasn't played since Nov. 5 due to the injury.

Jalen Williams (wrist) remains OUT while he recovers from surgery to repair his right wrist that he underwent on Oct. 31.

The biggest name on the Thunder injury report is a newcomer. Star guard and reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (illness) is QUESTIONABLE for Wednesday's game. Gilgeous-Alexander is dealing with an illness that has left his game time status up in the air.

The Thunder star has played in every game this season up to the this point, and is averaging 32.2 points, 6.6 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game.

Nikola Topic (surgery recovery) has been OUT as he focuses on treatment for testicular cancer.

Branden Carlson (two-way) is OUT for Wednesday's game while he's on a two-way contract

Brooks Barnhizer (two-way) is PROBABLE to play. Barnhizer is signed to a two-way contract but could be called up for Wednesday considering how thin the Thunder's depth is.

Chris Youngblood (two-way) is AVAILABLE to play Wednesday. Youngblood is also signed to a two-way contract and could be utilized for support on the roster.
