Anthony Edwards Status Revealed For Game Two cover image

The Minnesota Timberwolves set their injury report for game two against the Denver Nuggets.

The Minnesota Timberwolves will look to bounce back when they take on the Denver Nuggets in game two of the first round. 

The Timberwolves lost game one to Denver, 116-105. The Nuggets used a big second half, where they outscored the Timberwolves by 11 after the game was tied at halftime. The Timberwolves led by ten after the first quarter, but the Nuggets scored back in the second quarter, getting into an offensive flow and tightening up on defense. 

Denver leads the series 1-0. Game two will begin at 10:30 PM ET and will take place at Ball Arena in Denver.

Minnesota Timberwolves Injury Report

Anthony Edwards is QUESTIONABLE with right knee injury maintenance. Edwards played 38 minutes in game one, finishing with 22 points on 7-19 shooting and 2-9 from three while adding nine rebounds and seven assists. He looked to be laboring throughout the game.

Rudy Gobert was second on the team in scoring, contributing 17 points on 8-9 shooting. Julius Randle and Jaden McDaniels had 16 points each, but combined to shoot 0-7 from three. Donte DiVincenzo knocked down four threes, finishing with 12 points. 

Off the bench, Ayo Dosunmu had 14 points on 5-10 shooting. Naz Reid struggled from the floor, finishing with five points on six shots. 

Denver Nuggets Injury Report

Peyton Watson is OUT with a right hamstring strain. He's been out since April 1, when he suffered the injury against the Utah Jazz. On April 3, it was reported that he would be out week-to-week. He played in 54 games in the regular season, averaging 14.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists. 

Spencer Jones is off the injury report. He played nine minutes against Minnesota in game one, finishing with five points. It was his first game since March 29. He was previously sidelined with a right hamstring strain. 

In game one, the Nuggets were led by Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic. 

Murray had a rough shooting night, going 7-22 from the field, but managed to score 30 points as he knocked down all 16 of his free throws. Nikola Jokic recorded another triple double, scoring 25 points to go along with 13 rebounds and 11 assists. 

All five Denver starters were in double figures as Aaron Gordon had 17 points, Cameron Johnson had 12 points, and Christian Braun had 12 points. 

Bruce Brown led the team off the bench, scoring eight points and grabbing seven rebounds.
