Bones Hyland praised LaMelo Ball for being a high-energy teammate.
This offseason, the notable move the Minnesota Timberwolves made that turned heads around the NBA was trading for former Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball. They gave up Naz Reid and multiple draft picks, but they hope this move is what elevates them to a potential NBA Finals appearance.
Ball was brought in to be a reliable second option alongside star player Anthony Edwards, but he also brings elite playmaking to this roster. He's been known to be someone who brings a lot of energy to a team on and off the court, and Timberwolves guard Bones Hyland praised LaMelo Ball for the presence he brings to the team.
"I'm glad we got him man, he's a great human being," Hyland said. "He's just great spirits."
Matt Blewett-Imagn ImagesFor Minnesota to be successful, the team's cohesion off the court will play a big part in their success. What helps the team is that LaMelo Ball and Anthony Edwards are the same age and have known each other for years.
Both players have a similar approach to the game and bring high energy to this team. The ultimate goal is to win, and Ball is capable of helping this team reach its goals; he has the supporting cast to make a deep playoff run.
Not only does the addition of LaMelo Ball help Anthony Edwards reach his ceiling, but it also helps various players on the roster as well. One player who will benefit is Bones Hyland. Hyland primarily came off the bench for Minnesota, but there will be times when he will be on the court with Ball.

He averaged 8.5 points per game last season, but with LaMelo Ball by his side, he could be set up for more opportunities to score. Like LaMelo, Bones Hyland is a player who is capable of creating for himself and finding ways to score. The attention on Ball could create chances for him to score more often.
Other players like Ayo Dosunmu or Terrence Shannon Jr. will also benefit from having a playmaker like LaMelo Ball on this team. These are players who can work off the ball to get open, and having a guard who averages more than 7 assists per game in his career could give them more chances to succeed on offense.
LaMelo Ball has received a lot of praise since he joined the Timberwolves roster, and with the season approaching, it will be interesting to see how much of an immediate impact he will make on this organization.
