Bones Hyand was happy to get the green light.

The Minnesota Timberwolves obviously have no shortage of offensive weapons, that's why they've been one of the highest-scoring teams all season.

One of those weapons is Bones Hyland, who's been an electric scorer off the bench for Minnesota throughout the season and against the Boston Celtics on Sunday, he reached another level.

Hyland scored a team-leading 23 points while shooting 8-14 from the field. With Anthony Edwards out for the game with injury, Hyland saw it as his responsibility to step up and his team clearly trusted him to do it.

His 14 shot attempts were evidence that the team trusted him to pull up from just about anywhere, and he had just two words to say about getting the green light to go off.

Hyland's Humorous Response

"Say less," Hyland said (via NBAonNBC).

Missing Edwards is obviously a huge blow for the Timberwolves. He's the team's leading scorer andf he's been having the best scoring seasons of his career and could even receive MVP nods this season, but even with him out the Timberwolves have proven that they can survive a temporary absence.

The confidence that the Timberwolves have across the roster is a big factor in being able to do that and Hyland is one of the best particular examples of that confidence.

He thrives in the biggest moments and his team clearly recognizes that. Having a shooter like him at the ready off the bench is a huge boost to the team's overall offense and keeps them from being a one-trick-pony of sorts that just relies on the efforts of Edwards.

Why the Timberwolves Are Such An Offensive Threat

The different ways and different players that can affect the offense for Minnesota has propelled them to be one of the hardest teams to guard in the NBA and at times, one of the hardest to beat.

That pace in their offense and the number of scorers that they have will make them a threat in the playoffs, especially when Edwards is able to return.

Until then, though, they can put their trust into players like Hyland to keep up the scoring pace and keep them competitive.

Hyland certainly won't shy away from the spotlight anytime soon and as long as he keeps getting the green light, he'll keep on shooting and keep on scoring.

With performances like he had against the Celtics, Hyland keeps on proving why giving him the green light is a great idea.

Even when Edwards returns, Hyland's license to shoot won't be expiring anytime soon.
