
Minnesota Timberwolves set their injury report ahead of game six against the San Antonio Spurs.
The Minnesota Timberwolves look to force game seven when they host the San Antonio Spurs in game six on Friday.
The Timberwolves dropped game five in what turned out to be a blowout after the game was tied early in the third quarter. The Spurs led the majority of the first half, going up by more than 15 points and lead by 12 at the half. The Timberwolves mounted a comeback to start the third, tying the game at 61 early in the third.
The Spurs went on a run from there, leading after three by 18. The fourth quarter was more of the same from San Antonio as they led by as many as 30 before coming away with a 126-97 victory.
The Spurs lead the series 3-2. Game six takes place at the Target Center with a 9:30 PM ET start.
Minnesota Timberwolves Injury Report
Terrence Shannon Jr is QUESTIONABLE with a head contusion. Shannon Jr wasn't originally on the injury report, but was added in the afternoon.
Donte DiVincenzo is OUT after undergoing Achilles surgery. He suffered the injury two minutes into game four of the Timberwolves' first round series against the Denver Nuggets. There is no timetable for his return.
Minnesota started Jaden McDaniels, Julius Randle, Rudy Gobert, Anthony Edwards, and Ayo Dosunmu in game five. Edwards led the way with 20 points, but had four turnovers to just two assists.
McDaniels and Randle had 17 points each with McDaniels grabbing six rebounds and Randle grabbing ten. Gobert had just four points and five rebounds. Dosunmu had 16 points.
Naz Reid, Mike Conley, and Terrence Shannon Jr all played more than 15 minutes off the bench. Reid had 12 points and five rebounds.
San Antonio Spurs Injury Report
The Spurs have a clean injury report with no one listed.
They are once again expected to start Julian Champagnie, Devin Vassell, Victor Wembanyama, De'Aaron Fox, and Stephon Castle.
Wembanyama had 27 points , 17 rebounds, five assists, and three blocks in game five. He started off hot with 16 points in the first quarter, but the Timberwolves figured out a way to slow him down the rest of the way. However, they couldn't slow down the rest of the Spurs.
Fox had 18 points and five assists, while Castle had 17 points and six assists. Vassell had 12 points and Champagnie had eight points.
Luke Kornet, Dylan Harper, Keldon Johnson, and Carter Bryant all played more than ten minutes off the bench. Johnson had 21 points while Harper had 12 points.
