Jaylen Brown had a lot of thoughts about Minnesota's back court.
The Minnesota Timberwolves set the NBA word on fire this offseason when they traded for LaMelo Ball from the Charlotte Hornets, pairing together two of the most exciting young guards in the league today in Ball and Minnesota star Anthony Edwards.
From a basketball perspective, this is an excellent trade for the Timberwolves, even if they did have to give up Naz Reid, a first-round pick and multiple pick-swaps to make it happen. The Timberwolves also got Josh Green int he trade, adding even more depth to Minnesota's already strong core of guards.
Minnesota has been desperate for a true point guard and playmaker for a while now and that's exactly what they've received in Ball, who can both create opportunities for Edwards in the paint and on the perimeter with his passing ability and the draw he'll have on offense in his own right.
An Ideal Fit
In many ways, Ball is the perfect compliment to Edwards and fills the void that Minnesota has had since the beginning of this past season.
Not only can Ball create opportunities with his passing, but he's enough of an offensive threat in his own right that the Timberwolves have made a major upgrade to what is already one of the most formidable offenses in the NBA.
But there's another aspect of the Ball and Edwards combination that goes beyond what they can do within the confines of a basketball game, that being the bombastic personalities that the Timberwolves' tow guards have off the court and it's the combination of their personalities that makes the league both excited and apprehensive to watch them pair up together.
Both Edwards and Ball have had some notable off the court antics in their respective times in the league and on a recent stream, new Philadelphia 76ers guard Jaylen Brown summed up best how the league is going to have to act around Minnesota's back court.

"Who know what they’re about to get into off the court…They gotta get some supervision…Melo driving 100 miles per hour to the arena…and you already know what Ant on... That's going to be entertaining," Brown said.
Both Edwards and Ball have some of the most notable personalities in the NBA. Between their actual play styles to their notable quotes and even what the've been known for off the court, Edwards and Ball have become some of the most notable players in the NBA.
That's why pairing the two of them makes them such an iconic pairing even before they've ever played a game together. These two young players are some of the most well known NBA athletes of their current generation just from pop culture influence alone and pairing that with their actual synergy on the court, and there should be some very exciting basketball ahead in Minnesota.
