Julius Randle speaks after the Minnesota Timberwolves come back to defeat the Houston Rockets.

The Minnesota Timberwolves pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in NBA history on Wednesday, winning 110-108 in overtime.

The Wolves were down 108-95 in overtime with three minutes to go. They went on to score 15 straight points, capped off by a jumper by Julius Randle with 8.8 seconds remaining to put Minnesota ahead.

Kevin Durant missed two free throws that would've tied the game at the end of overtime.

The 13-point comeback was the largest OT comeback victory in the play-by-play era.

Over the past 29 years, teams were 0-180 when down by 10 or more points in overtime. That record now stands at 1-180 thanks to the Timberwolves.

Julius Randle Speaks On Togetherness

After the dust had settled, Randle spoke with the media and explained how the Wolves managed to stick together to make the comeback.

"We're just really connected. We need each other and lean on each other. These guys are my brothers. I'll go to war for them every single night. We just have a good group of guys in the locker room. We all get along and love each other like brothers. Our connectivity is important," he said.

Randle stated that anybody on the team, on any given night, could make a play. He noted how Bones Hyland was frustrated after a game, and he told Bones that he was going to win them some games at some point.

Bones scored 23 points against the Boston Celtics, helping lead the Timberwolves to a 102-92 victory on March 22.

He also praised Bones for reeling him in whenever he's not focused.

"We all hold each other accountable and play for one another. We want the best for everyone. It's who we are as a group," he said.

Surviving Without Anthony Edwards

The Timberwolves have been without All-Star Anthony Edwards since he went down with a knee injury following a March 15 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was set to miss at least one to two weeks, putting Minnesota behind the eight ball in a tight Western Conference race.

The Wolves have gone 4-1 since then, with the lone loss coming by four points to the Portland Trail Blazers. They beat the Suns, Jazz, Celtics, and now Rockets, getting contributions across the lineup.

Against Houston, Randle and Jaden McDaniels combined for 49 points on the offensive end while Rudy Gobert had five blocks, including a clutch block on Kevin Durant, to secure things defensively.

Edwards has been limited to individual work, but his teammates have picked up the slack, keeping Minnesota well-positioned to get home court in at least the first round.
