The Mavericks lost their last contest against the Lakers, 116-110. They were scheduled to face the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday, but the game was postponed due to weather and travel issues. They had won four straight prior to the loss to the Lakers.
This is the second meeting of the season between the two teams, with the Timberwolves winning 120-96 on November 17.
Anthony Edwards is listed as QUESTIONABLE with right foot injury maintenance. Edwards did not play in the victory against the Warriors. He's missed three of the last seven games.
The Timberwolves are on a back-to-back as they'll play the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday, which could factor into the Wolves' decision to play or sit Edwards.
Leonard Miller is also QUESTIONABLE with low back spasms. He was also out in the victory against the Warriors.
He's played in 18 games this season, averaging 2.4 points and 1.4 rebounds in limited minutes.
Cooper Flagg is QUESTIONABLE with left ankle injury management. Flagg has played in three straight games after missing two games with an ankle injury. He played 34 minutes against the Lakers, scoring 16 points, grabbing seven rebounds, and dishing six assists.
The first overall pick in the 2025 NBA draft has played in 43 games, averaging 18.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 4.1 assists in his rookie season.
Ryan Nembhard is PROBABLE on a G-League two-way deal. He played just four minutes against the Lakers.
The two-way rookie has played in 33 games, averaging 7.2 points and 5.1 assists.
Miles Kelly and Moussa Cisse are also QUESTIONABLE on G-League two-way deals. Kelly has played in only nine games this season, while Cisse has appeared in 26 contests.
Anthony Davis remains OUT with a left finger sprain. He's been out since January 8. The injury will not require surgery. On January 13, it was reported that Davis would be re-evaluated in six weeks.
Kyrie Irving also remains OUT after knee surgery. There is no timetable for his return.
Derrick Lively II is OUT following right foot surgery. He is expected to miss the rest of the season.
Dante Exum is also OUT following right knee surgery. He is also expected to miss the rest of the season.
