The Minnesota Timberwolves have a quick turnaround as they take on the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.
The Timberwolves were in action on Tuesday, losing 120-106 to the Los Angeles Lakers. They have now lost two straight games after winning five straight. They are 7-3 in their last ten. At 40-25, the Timberwolves are fifth in the West, a game up on the Denver Nuggets and a half game behind the Houston Rockets for third.
The Clippers have won two straight, knocking off the New York Knicks, 126-118, in their last contest. They have won five of their last six games, and are 6-4 in their last ten. They are eighth in the West, a half game up on the Golden State Warriors for ninth.
This is the fourth meeting of the season between the two teams. The Timberwolves are 2-1 in the season series, winning the last game 94-88 on February 26.
The Timberwolves could be without bench player Ayo Dosunmu, who is listed as QUESTIONABLE with a right thumb sprain. He played 20 minutes against the Lakers, finishing with 13 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist.
Since joining the Timberwolves at the trade deadline, Dosunmu is averaging 11 points on 34% shooting from three and 2.5 assists in 12 games. He's playing 25 minutes per game off the bench.
Joan Beringer, Enrique Freeman, and Zyon Pullin are OUT on G-League two-way deals.
The Timberwolves are expected to start Anthony Edwards, Donte DiVincenzo, Julius Randle, Jaden McDaniels, and Rudy Gobert. If Dosunmu doesn't play, Naz Reid, Bones Hyland, and Kyle Anderson will see significant minutes off the bench.
John Collins is OUT with a neck strain. He last played on March 1 against the New Orleans Pelicans. He's missed the last five games for the Clippers. In 54 games this season, Collins is averaging 13.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1 assist.
Yaniv Konan Niederhauser is OUT with a right linsfranc ligament tear. He suffered the injury on March 4. He is set to undergo surgery and will miss the rest of the season and the playoffs.
Bradley Beal is OUT after undergoing season ending hip surgery in November.
The Clippers are expected to start Kawhi Leonard, Derrick Jones Jr, Darius Garland, Brook Lopez, and Kris Dunn. Bennedict Mathurin, Jordan Miller, Isaiah Jackson, and Nicolas Batum will get time off the bench.
