The Minnesota Timberwolves host the Philadelphia 76ers Sunday at Target Center in Minneapolis.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are hunting their fourth-straight win and the next team to stand in their was is the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday.

Minnesota was in a groove ahead of the All-Star break and that groove continued straight on into the team's return to regular season play and with the season coming to a close, now is as good a time as any for the Timberwolves to be playing some of their best basketball.

Led by Anthony Edwards with 29.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game and Julius Randle with 22.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game, the Timberwolves are one one of the most elite teams on the offensive end in the NBA, but they'll be without one crucial piece of the team and possibly another on Sunday.

Who's Out for Minnesota?

Rudy Gobert is OUT for Sunday's game due to a one-game league suspension. Gobert accrued his seventh flagrant foul point of the season late in the second quarter of the Timberwolves' 122-11 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Friday, resulting in an automatic one-game suspension.

Gobert's size and defensive abilities will be sorely missed by the Timberwolves against a physical 76er's team, but they'll only have to be without their starting center for one game, it seems.

Naz Reid is QUESTIONABLE for Sunday's game due to shoulder soreness. Reid was a huge part of the Timberwolves' win over the Mavericks with 21 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two blocks.

Beyond his Friday night contributions, Reid has been a workhorse and consistent player of the bench for the Timberwolves. He's played in all 57 games for the Timberwolves up to this point in the season, starting two, while averaging 14.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

Enrique Freeman is OUT for Sunday on two-way contract while he plays in the G-League, but Rocco Zikarsky, also on a two-way contract, is AVAILABLE for the Timberwolves.

Who's Out for Philadelphia?

The Timberwolves aren't the only ones who will be missing their starting center. Joel Embiid is OUT on Sunday for the 76ers. Embiid last played Feb. 7 and he's been out since then with a combination of right knee injury management and right knee soreness.

Kelly Oubre Jr. is OUT for Sunday's game while he continues to recover from a knee injury. Oubre Jr. played in the 76er's Saturday night loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, but he'll be kept out of the second game of the back-to-back and he'll be in a knee brace, per the report.

The 76er's announced Sunday that rookie forward Johni Broome suffered a meniscus tear during a G-League game, so that will keep the 35th overall pick out for Sunday's game and his recovery timeline won't be clear until he consults with team medical officials.

Paul George is the last player OUT for the 76ers on Sunday. George was suspended for 25 games effective Jan. 31 for violating the NBA's anti-drug policy.
