The Minnesota Timberwolves announced the status of Anthony Edwards against the Detroit Pistons.

The Minnesota Timberwolves look to avenge a recent loss as they take on the Detroit Pistons on Thursday. 

The Timberwolves are coming off a 124-94 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, bouncing back after a loss to the Pistons. They have won three of their last four and are 6-4 in their last ten. They sit sixth in the West, a half game behind the Houston Rockets and two games behind the Denver Nuggets. 

The Pistons bested the Toronto Raptors, 127-116, in their last game, which was preceded by an overtime loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. They also have won three of their last four. They are 7-3 in their last ten and 55-21 overall. They are first in the East, four games better than the Boston Celtics. 

These two teams met just this past weekend on March 28. The Pistons' defense showed up in a big way as they easily won 109-87. 

Minnesota Timberwolves Injury Report

Anthony Edwards is QUESTIONABLE with right knee patellofemoral pain syndrome. He returned to the lineup on March 30 against the Dallas Mavericks after missing six games, including the recent game against the Pistons. 

Edwards came off the bench and played 23 minutes against the Mavericks, finishing with 17 points, two rebounds, and four assists. He is averaging 29.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 59 games this season.

Jaden McDaniels is OUT with left knee patella tendinopathy. He's been out since March 25. On March 30, the Timberwolves announced that McDaniels would be out week-to-week. In 71 games this year, he's averaging 14.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists. 

Enrique Freeman, Zyon Pullin, and Rocco Zikarsky are OUT on G-League two-way deals. 

Detroit Pistons Injury Report

Marcus Sasser is QUESTIONABLE with a right hip strain. He played just eight minutes against the Raptors, finishing with eight points and one assist. He's played in four straight games after missing three straight. 

In 32 games this season, he's averaging 5.7 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists. 

Cade Cunningham is OUT with a left lung pneumothorax. He's been out since March 17. On April 2, the Pistons announced that he continues to progress in his return to play process under the supervision of physicians and Pistons medical and performance staff. Cunningham will be re-evaluated in one week.

Isaiah Stewart is OUT with a left calf strain. He's been sidelined for the last ten games. On March 17, the team announced that he would miss at least one week. It is unknown when he will return to the court. 

Isaac Jones (G-League two-way), Bobbi Klintman (G-League assignment), and Chaz Lanier (G-League assignment) are all OUT.
