
The Minnesota Timberwolves will look to improve their standing in the West when they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.
The Timberwolves are coming off a 127-117 victory over the Golden State Warriors, which snapped a three game losing streak for the team. They are 6-4 in their last ten games. At 41-26, they are fifth in the West, a game behind the Los Angeles Lakers for third.
The Thunder have won seven straight games, last defeating the Boston Celtics, 104-102. They are 9-1 in their last ten. OKC owns the best record in the league at 52-15. They are three games ahead of the San Antonio Spurs.
This is the fourth and final meeting between last year's Western Conference Finalists. The Timberwolves are 2-1 in the season series. They won the last meeting 123-11 on January 29.
Timberwolves All-Star Anthony Edwards is QUESTIONABLE with right knee soreness. He played 37 minutes against the Warriors on March 13, finishing with 42 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.
Edwards hasn't missed a game since January 26. Mike Conley started in his place in that game, but Conley hasn't played since February 26.
In 57 games this season, Edwards is averaging 29.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists on 49% shooting from the field and 40% shooting from three.
Joan Beringer, Enrique Freeman, Julian Phillips, and Zyon Pullin are all OUT on G-League deals or assignments.
Jalen Williams remains OUT with a right hamstring strain for the Thunder. He hasn't played since February 11 and it is unknown when he will return to the lineup.
Williams has played in only 26 games this season, missing time with a wrist injury and hamstring injury. He is averaging 17.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.4 assists.
Isaiah Hartenstein is QUESTIONABLE with a left calf contusion. He's been out since March 4. He suffered the calf injury against the New York Knicks, leaving the game after just 17 minutes.
Hartenstein has battled through various injuries all season, playing in just 36 games. He's averaging 10.2 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 25 minutes this season.
Thomas Sorber is OUT after undergoing season-ending right ACL surgery in the off-season. He will have to wait until next year to make his NBA debut after being selected 15th overall by the Thunder in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Branden Carlson is OUT with a low back strain. He's been out since February 25.
Nikola Topic and Brooks Barnhizer are OUT on G-League assignment.
