Golden State Warriors fans may have something to look forward to after Kerr's latest update.

Draymond Green did not play in the Golden State Warriors’ most recent game against the Utah Jazz on Nov. 24.

The four-time champion has been dealing with a right midfoot sprain and was sidelined as his Warriors defeated the Jazz 134-117 to move to 10-9 on the young 2025-26 NBA season.

Golden State head coach Steve Kerr recently said he was pleased with Green’s recovery progress, according to Nick Friedell of The Athletic.

“Kerr said Draymond practiced today and his foot is feeling better,” Friedell wrote in a post on X on Nov. 25. “He is still questionable for Wednesday’s game vs. Rockets but Kerr likes the way his rehab is progressing.”

Yesterday’s final official NBA injury report listed Green as probable to play against the Rockets, but if Kerr said he’s still questionable, then it may come down to before tip-off when it’s announced for certain whether or not the 14-year veteran will play.

If Green does end up playing, it would be a fitting game to make his return to the court as the Warriors are set to face their former forward and two-time Finals MVP in Kevin Durant in going up against the Rockets. Durant was traded to the Rockets this summer and through his first 14 games with his new squad has averaged 24.6 points per game on nearly 50% shooting from the field.

Unfortunately, Durant will miss the game, however, due to a family matter, according to ESPN Insider Shams Charania. So, even if Green does ultimately take the court, a reunion between the former teammates would not end up taking place.

Green's Season By the Numbers

Green, in 16 games this season with the team he’s laced up for since 2012, is averaging 8.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game.

As his numbers show, Green may not be the Warriors’ leading scorer – that would be Stephen Curry with 28.8 points per game – but that has never been his role with Golden State. He has, more than anything, served as an igniter on both sides of the ball, making plays when needed and never failing to light a fire for his team.

Thus, it will be a positive for the Warriors if they are able to have Green back in the starting lineup for their game against the Rockets, especially since Houston has won 11 of its last 13 games and currently holds the Western Conference’s fourth place standing

Golden State has yet to truly find its identity in a Western Conference stacked with teams like its upcoming opponent in the Rockets. The Warriors currently find themselves in eighth place in the conference

The Warriors tip-off against the Rockets at 10 p.m. EST on Nov. 26.
