The Golden State Warriors' season has been rocky to say the least, despite them sitting as the eighth seed in the Western Conference. With a 17-16 record, the team has experienced its handful of winning and losing streaks early this season, but will look to ride its current momentum into Wednesday's contest against the Charlotte Hornets.
A contest that means a little more to Steph Curry, given he grew up around his dad, who played for the Hornets; they aren't a team that can be overlooked, despite their 11-21 record. Any team can win on any given game, but the Warriors will look to make it five wins in the past six contests.
Taking a look at the injury report for the Warriors, it's a short one, featuring three players listed as OUT. Two of them are two-way players, as both LJ Cryer and Malevy Leons are listed as OUT. The only other player listed is Seth Curry, who is OUT due to an irritation in his left sciatic nerve.
Seth will, unfortunately, miss out on the opportunity to face his former team in the Hornets. Seth played for the Hornets across two seasons, logging 76 appearances and 15 starts. He averaged 6.8 points across those games, while shooting 43.8% from beyond the arc.
Otherwise, the Warriors look all set to have their veterans in Jimmy Butler, Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and Al Horford to round out the 2025 calendar year.
For the Hornets, it's a handful of players that they'll be missing on Wednesday. The most notable absences include Miles Bridges (ankle), Ryan Kalkbrenner (elbow), Mason Plumlee (groin), and Grant Williams (knee), all of whom are listed as OUT.
Luckily, two players listed on the injury report will be AVAILABLE for Charlotte in Pat Connaughton (ankle) and rookie standout Kon Knueppel (ankle).
With Knueppel active, fans will get a chance to see the greatest shooter of all-time go up against one of the best young shooters in the NBA, a player who is already breaking records early this season. The Hornets suffered a tough loss last game to the Milwaukee Bucks, but that came without Knueppel.
The Hornets and the Warriors will tip off at 1:00 p.m. EST in Charlotte, as Golden State looks to inch closer to the top six seeds in the West and build up some momentum heading into the new year.
