Draymond Green commented on his uncertain future with the Warriors.

Draymond Green's legacy is a bit of a tricky one to ascertain. On one hand, his accolades speak for themselves, with all of the championships and league-wide individual honors. On the other hand, his stats are more closely aligned with a mere role player, perhaps the last option in a starting lineup or a 7th man off the bench.

With how vocal he is online, especially through his podcast, it always seems like he can become a topic of discussion at the drop of a hat, and with his future with the Golden State Warriors up in the air thanks to his pending player option, legacy talk might be at its most relevant now, at least until his retirement.

Green Comments On Uncertain Future With Warriors

On his guest appearance on ESPN's Inside the NBA show on Wednesday, Green was asked by Ernie Johnson if he could see himself wearing another jersey besides the Warriors'.

"I mean, I don't want to. It's not something I have imagined over the last few years of my career. Early on in your career, you're kind of like, 'When is this going to come to an end? I've been here long enough, you look at the stats, guys don't stay that long.' Then your mindset kind of shifts. Can I make this a forever thing? Can I stretch this the rest of my career? When I signed my last deal, that became a realistic possibility. For me, no. I don't see myself in another uniform. But I am also understanding of this business and I know that it takes them to want me as much as I want them in order for it to continue."

It's the kind of answer you'd expect from a veteran player who has truly become a legend for his franchise throughout his career, but also knows things aren't set in stone in the NBA.

Green's Career With Warriors Is Already Legendary

Even if Green finds himself in a different city for the final few years of his career, his story in Golden State is already a legendary one.

Green was an integral part of the Warriors' four championships and was certainly a top-three piece in terms of importance for the first three championships. In fact, Green was likely the second-most important piece for the Warriors' 2015 championship after Steph Curry.

In his career, Green is a four-time All-Star, two-time All-NBA Third Team selection, nine-time All-Defensive Team honoree, and the 2016-17 Defensive Player of the Year.

This is a resume that rivals many in the Hall of Fame, and though he may not be a first ballot selection, it'd be a shock if Green didn't end up enshrined in the Hall when all is said and done.

Green not finishing his career in Golden State wouldn't change his legacy for the franchise at all. He's still likely going to end up with his number retired, and it wouldn't be surprising to see some other physical representation for him around Chase Center, whether it's some kind of statue or otherwise.
