Draymond Green praises Damian Lillard.

Damian Lillard went viral in recent weeks with his impressive shooting display on social media.

Lillard hit 1,100 of 1,168 three-point attempts in the video. Lillard shot from all three-point locations knocking down 94% of the shots fired.

NBA players making open shots in the gym is commonplace in these videos, but Lillard’s consistency and the number of attempts makes his feat more impressive that what we’ve seen from other players. Firing up nearly 1,200 shots while moving between attempts takes stamina and strength that is unmatched by even the highest level of athletes.

It’s more impressive that Lillard tore his Achilles in 2025 and missed the entire 2025-26 to rehab.

Draymond Green Weighs In

Speaking on The Draymond Green Show, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green gave his thoughts on Lillard’s impressive feat.

"I can't say that I've ever seen anyone hit 1,100 out of 1,168, I'm also not about to sit there and watch Steph shoot 1,100 shots... He gonna have to get his legs under him for sure and coming back but when he do, I don't think the league is ready to see the type of shooting display that Dame bout to put on,” he said.

Lillard already impressed spectators during All-Star weekend when he won the three-point contest despite missing the entire season with a torn Achilles.

In the video, Lillard is showing that he’s ready for the new season, where he will once again don the uniform of the Portland Trail Blazers. He was on the team last season, but was unable to play.

The Legacy of Lillard

If Steph Curry didn’t exist, fans would be talking about Lillard as the greatest shooting point guard of all-time.

Lillard is fifth all-time in three-point makes and is a career 37% shooter from three. Much like Steph, he’s not afraid to take deeper shots than most players. Also like Steph, his shots have come off the dribble and off movement.

He doesn’t have the MVPs or the Championships that Steph has, which is why he’ll always be looked at as being in Steph’s shadow, but put Lillard against any other three-point shooter in history and he’s going to go shot for shot with them.

The last time Lillard played a full season, he was a member of the Milwaukee Bucks, shooting 37% from three on nine attempts.

His time in Milwaukee didn’t go the way he and many fans had hoped, but a return to Portland could be exactly what the future Hall of Famer needs.
