Golden State Warriors vs. Miami Heat Injury Report cover image

The Golden State Warriors play the Miami Heat Wednesday at Kaseya Center in Miami.

The Golden State Warriors will be going into their Wednesday night matchup against the Miami Heat severely shorthanded, and some bad news on the Jimmy Butler III injury front has made that problem even worse.

Golden State has fought to a 9-7 record so far this season despite being weighed down by injuries to their main players throughout the season, but despite brief periods of relief by the injury bug, the Warriors have been struck by it again.

Wednesday's game is poised to be a tough match up against the surging Heat, who are fresh off a win against the New York Knicks and sitting at second in their division. The Warriors will have to dig deep to overcome the depletion of their roster.

Warriors Injury Report

Golden State has seven players on the injury report listed as either out or questionable for Wednesday, including most of their heavy hitters.

De'Anthony Melton (knee) remains OUT as he continues to recover from his ACL surgery last December, and Golden State head coach recently stated that Melton is "not very close" to making his way back to the court.

Steph Curry (ankle) is OUT due to left ankle soreness following Tuesday night's loss to the Orlando Magic.

Al Horford (toe) is OUT for injury management reasons in the second of back-to-back games to protect the left toe issue that has plagued him for most of this season.

Jonathan Kuminga (knee) is OUT for the fourth game in a row with patellar tendonitis in his knee.

Draymond Green (illness) is QUESTIONABLE for Wednesday's game against the Heat due to illness, a familiar problem for the Warriors as it was an illness that caused Curry to miss a handful of games earlier in the season.

Buddy Hield (illness) will be AVAILABLE for Wednesday's game.

Butler III (back) is officially listed as QUESTIONABLE on the official injury report, but that question may have a more unfortunate answer closer to game time. A report by Shams Charania of ESPN stated that Butler III is not expected to play against the Heat, depriving Golden State of even more firepower.

Heat Injury Report

Miami has injuries of their own, with three players affected with injuries and a fourth on leave, but compared to Golden State Miami's starting roster is mostly intact.

Bam Adebayo (toe) is QUESTIONABLE for Wednesday's game with a left big toe sprain. Adebayo hasn't played since Nov. 5, but an upgrade to questionable status is a more positive update than a definitive out.

Nikola Jovic (hip) is DOUBTFUL to appear Wednesday due to right hip impingement, a condition that causes the hips to pinch or rub during movement because of an irregular hip shape, causing pain in the hip and groin.

Tyler Herro (ankle) remains OUT as he recovers from a left ankle surgery he had before the start of the season. Herro has yet to debut this season, but Herro has begun practicing againa nd could return to he court in a matter of weeks.

Terry Rozier (leave of absence) is OUT and has been placed on leave by the NBA following his Oct. 23 arrest for his involvement in gambling on NBA games.
