There have been many sets of brothers to play in the NBA at the same time.

Whether it’s been the Morris twins (Markieff and Marcus), the Lopez twins (Brook and Robin), or even the Antetokounmpo brothers (Giannis, Thanasis, Alex and Kostas), family ties have permeated the league for many years.

Back in September, when the Golden State Warriors signed Seth Curry, many were eagerly anticipating seeing him and his brother, Stephen Curry, finally be on the same team after all these years.

What appeared to be a foregone conclusion – the Curry brothers taking on the Bay Area together – heading into the new campaign, however, took more time to marinate into a reality, as Seth was waived in October before the 2025-26 season commenced.

Now, Curry is back with the Warriors, having signed with the team for which his brother has played since 2009, last week. And he logged his first minutes with Golden State last night in a 124-112 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

“It felt good,” Curry said during a postgame press conference. “I mean, I’ve been waiting to get on this floor for a while now, and the fans showed me a lot of love when I stepped on the floor. And it felt good to get out there and make my first shot, kind of ease the pressure a little bit. And then, just from there, I’m just playing basketball. So, just trying to go out there and help the team play well and get a win. And unfortunately, we didn’t do that, but some positive stuff out there from everybody.”

Curry scored 14 points in his inaugural outing in San Francisco, taking after his brother in shooting at a high clip. In 18 minutes, he went 6-for-7 from the field and 2-for-3 from 3-point range.

“It felt normal,” Curry said, speaking about playing in his first game this season. “It felt natural. I was a little nervous, I didn’t know how it would feel when I got out there…It had probably been seven, eight months since I played a game, but like I said, once we got up and down a couple times, it was basketball, and I mean, nothing new. ”

The Warriors mark the 10th team Curry has suited up for in his 13-year NBA career, having previously spent time with the Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Cavaliers, Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers, Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets and Charlotte Hornets.

Now with Golden State, he will provide some additional depth to a team in need of consistency. The Warriors sit at .500 with an 11-11 record and have yet to truly find their rhythm as a group despite the numerous offensive weapons they have up and down their roster.

Curry and the Warriors’ next game is against the Philadelphia 76ers at 7 p.m. EST on Dec. 4.
