Steph Curry gave insight into his knee injury ahead of his expected return.

The Golden State Warriors may finally get to see #30 back out on the court for the first time in over two months.

Curry Gives Insight Into His Knee Injury

Ahead of his potential return, Curry took to the podium on Saturday to talk about his knee injury and his expectation to return to the court.

Specifically, he gave insight into what exactly was wrong with his knee and how he's progressing moving forward.

"There's nothing structurally wrong with my knee. So it's not like I'm compromised out there. It is a new normal. It's just a matter of understanding what I need to do off the court to make sure everything around my knee is strong and firing the right way. I will take full advantage of the offseason, whatever it is to have a full reset, and then you just kind of figure out what it looks like going into next year. But right now, I kind of understand what the new normal is, and it's good enough to play."

It might not be the most inspiring update, considering this issue seems like something Curry will have to work around for the rest of his career, especially since he's already 38 years old. However, knowing that Curry is confident in his ability to play now is reassuring.

What Will Curry Bring To The Warriors?

It's no secret how important Curry is to the Warriors.

Even if he's not back in complete game condition yet, a return against the Rockets would bring back their alpha scorer and allow everyone else to return to offensive roles they may be more comfortable with or used to.

This season, Curry is averaging 27.2 points per game on 46.8% shooting from the field and 39.1% from beyond the arc in just 31.3 minutes per game. Though the efficiency hasn't been as historically great as some of his previous seasons, it's still a top-5 scoring season of his career. Additionally, the advanced stats show that the Warriors' offense is a whopping 9.5 points better with Curry on the floor.

Alongside the impact Curry brings with his presence, the Warriors will also finally get a chance to see him play alongside two players for two different interesting reasons.

The first is Kristaps Porzingis, the unicorn big man they acquired at the trade deadline. His offensive profile as a shooter and capable finisher at 7-foot-2 projects to fit extremely well with Curry, and the Dubs are excited to see how the pairing works together.

The second player is Seth Curry. The two sons of NBA player Dell Curry have never played a game together over the course of their lengthy NBA careers, but they finally get a chance to do so at least once in the final five games of the regular season, provided they can both be healthy to get on the court.
