Steph Curry's Final Status for Warriors vs Pacers Game cover image

The Golden State Warriors were hoping to get Steph Curry back for their game against the Indiana Pacers

The Golden State Warriors are hoping to get their all-star point guard back for Sunday's game against the Indiana Pacers.

The Warriors are currently listing Steph Curry as questionable ahead of the game against the Pacers. Curry has missed the last two games with an illness. The Warriors have lost both games. However, he's since then been downgraded to OUT.

Curry last played on November 4th against the Phoenix Suns. After the game Curry said his "gas tank was on E" in the second half as his symptoms got worse. He said he would be alright and would hopefully only need a day to get back at full strength.

He missed the November 5th game against the Sacramento Kings and the November 7th game against the Denver Nuggets.

Warriors Struggling Without Steph

With the future Hall of Famer out of the lineup, the Warriors have dropped their last two games.

Golden State was competitive against the Kings, but ultimately fell 121-116. Rookie Will Richard stepped up and contributed 30 points, while Jonathan Kuminga had 24 points and Moses Moody had 28 points. It wasn't enough as Russell Westbrook collected a triple double, DeMar DeRozan had 25 points, and Malik Monk scored 21 points off the bench.

All five Kings starters scored in double digits. The Warriors got just 20 combined points from their bench. Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler did not play.

Both men were back against the Nuggets in an NBA Cup game, but the Warriors defense was unable to slow down the Nuggets offense and Golden State fell, 129-104. Green led all Golden State scorers with 17. Butlet had 16 and Quentin Post had 14 off the bench.

Nuggets center Nikola Jokic finished with 26 ponits, nine assists, and nine rebounds. Jamal Murray had 23 points and Aaron Gordon added 18 points.

After starting the season 4-1, the Warriors are 1-4 in their last five.

Steph Curry's Impact

Steph is averaging 26.8 points in 31 minutes this season. He's shooting 38% from three on 11.3 attempts.

The Warriors have a 117.2 offensive rating with Curry on the floor, and a 111.4 rating with him off the floor. Their points per game drops from 117.6 with him in the lineup to 111.4 with him sidelined.

Steph has long been the catalyst for the Warriors offense with his shooting, movement, and overall gravity.

The Pacers are just 1-8 on the season and battling injuries of their own with Tyrese Haliburton, Aaron Nesmith, Pascal Siakam, Bennedict Mathurin, Obi Toppin, and TJ McConnell all out.
