Steve Kerr expressed his faith in the Warriors' front office at the trade deadline.

The NBA is reaching perhaps the most exciting part of the regular season — not the season opener, not All-Star weekend, not the end-of-season playoff pushes. No, the most captivating part of the NBA's regular season may just be entirely off the court with trade season in full swing. The trade deadline is less than a week away, and though there haven't been many trades made up to this point, the rumors and hypotheticals are picking up steam.

One player at the center of it all is superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. It was reported on Wednesday that the Milwaukee Bucks are listening to offers for the Greek Freak, and that he is ready to find a new home, either at the trade deadline or this offseason.

Teams are sure to come out of the woodwork to make offers not just for Antetokounmpo, but also for the other quality players being made available at the trade deadline by selling teams. The Golden State Warriors' front office has been in the mix of trade rumors for a while now, especially ever since Jonathan Kuminga demanded a trade two weeks ago. Only time will tell if they're the ones to pull the trigger and complete the blockbuster of the century.

Steve Kerr Expresses His Faith In The Warriors' Front Office

On the Willard and Dibs show on 95.7 The Game on Thursday, Steve Kerr was asked about a quote he gave last summer regarding the craziness behind trading future assets to put quality players around Steph Curry, even though he will be retiring in the near future. Kerr gave a joking response and expressed his faith that the Warriors' front office would end up making the right decision.

"The beauty of being a coach is that you don't have to worry about any of that stuff. My job is to coach the team, and I'm focused on that. It's Mike (Dunleavy's) job and Joe (Lacob's) job and the whole group to decide what decisions are made. I have great faith in what they do and in their decision-making. Whatever it is, I know they're not going to jeopardize the franchise's long-term future unless something really makes sense to them, and that's what they have to assess and decide."

In a potential trade for Antetokounmpo, the Warriors would obviously have to give up just about every valuable asset they have. That includes Kuminga, Jimmy Butler, and all of their future first-round picks. The picks are projected to be especially valuable, considering they would come in the years after Curry presumably retires.

Warriors Reportedly Frontrunners For Antetokounmpo

Reports have been swirling around Antetokounmpo's future in Milwaukee for a long time now, and teams have come and gone in terms of what they're willing to offer and how likely it seems.

Though teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves, the New York Knicks, or the Miami Heat have all been linked to being interested in Antetokounmpo with a solid mixture of assets to form their package, it's actually been reported multiple times that the Warriors are the frontrunners in these sweepstakes.

Again, this is largely due to their first-round picks. They hold all of their own firsts outside of 2030, meaning they can trade up to three unprotected first-rounders and include a few different variations of protected picks and pick swaps alongside it. The idea is that Curry and Draymond Green will retire, and though Antetokounmpo would then be in the Bay Area, he would likely be at least 34-years old at that point, causing some wariness on how the athletic monster would continue playing as he reaches a more advanced age.

If the reports are true that the Warriors are the frontrunners, then it comes down to what Kerr said in the latter half of his quote: Does the Warriors' front office think trading their future for Antetokounmpo to continue competing right now make sense?
