Steve Kerr has already built a Hall of Fame resume as a coach, but he added yet another milestone to that resume after Tuesday's 125-115 win for the Golden State Warriors over the Washington Wizards.

It was Kerr's 600th career win as a head coach and crossing that threshold made him the fourth-fastest head coach in NBA history to do so, behind only three all-time legends of the game of basketball in Phil Jackson, Gregg Popovich and Pat Riley.

Kerr certainly felt the weight and significance of that milestone when he was asked about it after the game, but even though he had earned the moment to bask in his own accomplishment, he instead turned the praise onto the lengthy roster of lofty names that he'd coached over the years.

Crediting His Players

"It's surreal to hear my name with that group," Kerr said (via Kenzo Fukuda). "One thing that bonds us all together... it's talent. You can't win in this league without great players and I was blessed from the day I took this job with incredible talent."

The first player that comes to mind when anyone things of Kerr as a head coach is, of course, Steph Curry.

Kerr became the head coach of the Warriors in 2014 and while Curry had already been in the league for five seasons at that point, the 2014-15 season was truly the first time that Curry looked fully realized as the all-time great player that he's known as now.

Curry won his first MVP award at the end of that season and the way it started set the tone for the kind of career that Kerr would enjoy as a head coach as well. The Warriors started the 2014-15 season 19-2 and for Kerr that set a new record as the most successful start to a head coaching in NBA history.

But, Kerr didn't just stop at Curry when naming the great players he'd been able to work with. names like Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala and Andrew Bogut all made the list as well, and for good reason.

Learning From the Greats

It's fitting that Kerr's milestone put's him in the same area as the three aforementioned all-time coaches, but in particular Jackson and Popovich. Kerr played under both of them in his playing career for the Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs respectively and elements of their styles certainly rubbed off on him.

600 wins, four championships as a head coach and the 2016 Coach of the Year selection later, Kerr and the Warriors may be in a very different place than they've been in the past during the heyday of their dynasty, but with every passing victory Kerr still etches himself higher and higher in NBA history.
