The Warriors are still checking out prospects.

The Golden State Warriors have been busy lately on the scouting end of things, as they should be considering that the NBA Draft is a little over a week away and they're in an advantageous position with the 11th-overall pick.

That placement in the draft all but ensures the Warriors to grab a good selectiona nd give themselves a chance at landing an impact player and now the task is up to them to determine exactly who that impact player will be, and to do that they've been hosting and will continue to host prospects for workouts.

They recently hosted senior forward Yaxel Lendeborg, a senior forward out of Michigan, but they aren't done there.

Two More (Or Three) More Players

The Warriors plan on hosting both Brayden Burries and Morez Johnson Jr., per Brett Seigel, with Siegel also reporting that sources have told him that the Warriors plan on meeting with another big man as well.

Brayden Burries is a freshman guard out of Arizona, where he averaged 16.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game while shooting 49.1% from the field and 39.1% from three.

That kind of accuracy paired with Burries' physicality has made him an outstanding draft prospect for any team looking for an electric guard, and even if that hasn't been at the top of the Warriors' priorities, it is again worth it for the Warriors to take a look.

Morez Johnson Jr. is more in line with the needs that the Warriors have in their roster at present.

A 6'9, 255 pound forward from the 2026 NCAA champion Michigan Wolverines, Johnson Jr. was Michigan's premier physical presence on the court, using his size and speed to dominate the boards with 7.3 rebounds  and 1.1 block per game whil shooting a premier 62.3% from the field while he patrolled the paint.

Forward or Guard?

Johnson Jr. is more in line with the Warriors' need to add more physicality to their roster. With Jonathan Kuminga traded away and Draymond Green nearing the end of his career, Golden State will have to move fast to pick up some more size for their team.

Adding an NCAA champion and top-tier defender like Johnson Jr. definitely addresses that need and the Warriors' reported desire to work out another big man is further proof of the direction they're trending in for the draft.

There's still a lot that can happen in the coming days when it comes to the Warriors' decision making and of course, they can't guarantee who will be available when their time comes.

What the Warriors can guarantee, though, it that they'll be prepared no matter what.
